Summer Lunch Programs in Franklin County
In Frankfort, there are three options for ALL children under the age of 18 to receive free lunches this Summer. Each program is designed for any family to participate in- you do not have to attend the school system you are associated with. In addition to weekly pickups, Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation is also hosting daily meals at Thorn Hill for any youth. Below, we have gathered information for all lunch programs in Frankfort for this summer.
USDA regulations require that children only receive one breakfast and one lunch per day.
Names of children are required so meals can be tracked. Tracking will be done across all three sites.
All programs are for ANY children 18 years old and under.
Each child can receive one breakfast and one lunch per day and can only receive food from one Summer Food Service sponsor at a time. If a child is attending a camp or other activity that is serving breakfast and lunch through the Summer Food Service Program, then they cannot also pick up a week of meals that week.

Lunch: 11:30am – 12:00pm
Free Activities: 12:00pm-12:30pm
- Lunch Must Be Eaten on Site
- Monday, June 3 – Friday, July 26, 2024 (No meal service on July 4, 2024)
- Meals served Monday – Friday
- Lunch is served and eaten on site. Each child goes home with a breakfast for the next day.

Weekly Meal Pickup at Hearn Elementary School

Thursdays, 11:00am-1:00pm
- 7-day meal pickup service from Franklin County Schools- includes 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches for each child
- Enrollment in Franklin County Schools is NOT required to receive these meals.

Weekly Meal Pickup at Frankfort High School

June 13, June 20, June 27, July 11, July 18
3:30pm-5:00pm
- 7-day meal pickup service from Frankfort Independent Schools- includes 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches for each child
- Child does not need to be enrolled at Frankfort Independent to receive these meals.
- Meals include fresh fruits and veggies (some from local farmers), ready-to-eat breakfast and lunch items, milk, juice, and more.
- Children do not need to be present when you pick up meals.
