2025 Kids Camps in Frankfort

Frankfort is full of fun camps for youth! We will update this list as we receive more information. Camps fill up fast. Be sure to register early!

Broadway Clay Spring Break Camp
April 7-11, 9:00am to 12:00pm
$170, Yes Cards Accepted
Ages 7-12

Broadway Clay offers week long clay camps in a professional studio environment. Through exploration, students become independent learners who aren’t afraid to freely create and make messy mistakes! Our qualified instructors teach skills that allow students to develop artwork worthy for a portfolio.

Spring Break Camp will cover hand-building pottery and sculptures as well as throwing on the wheel. Students create one wheel and one hand-building project a day, cumulating on the final day of glazing all their creations!

Kids Camp 1: Foodies
June 2-6
Ages 7 – 12

Description: Avocado Toast , Donuts, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Pizza, Sushi and more! You will be creating some of your favorite foods and learning about Pop Art and why recreating food into Sculptures can be art! You will be throwing on the wheel and handbuilding.

Kids Camp 2: Pottery Exploration (Ages 4-6)
June 9-13
Ages 4-6

Description: An introduction to clay, children will have the opportunity to use a pottery wheel to throw a pot and hand-build unique creations.

Kids Camp 3: Ancient Greece
June 16-20
Ages 7-12

Description: Explore the Culture of Ancient Greece, examine artifacts, learn about Greek pottery, delve into their mythology, and build your own temple.

Kids Camp 4: Create Your Dream Home – Adventures in Architecture
June 23-27
Ages 7 – 12

Description: Are you the next Frank Lloyd Wright? Follow some of the greatest architects in history to see why their structures became famous while developing your hand building & wheel throwing skills. We will discuss architectural movements, design, and structure. In the end you will turn your own design into a model home made out of clay. One day it may even come to life! 

Camp 5: Animals of Africa
July 7-11
Ages 7-12

Description: Ready to travel across Africa investigating all of the incredible animals! Create your creatures with multiple clay techniques such as pinch pot animals, three dimensional tiles (bas relief), and animal mugs thrown on the wheel. Then put all your skills together to create an animal of your own!

Kids Camp 6: Creating your own Characters out of Clay
July 14-18
Ages 5-10

Description: Love to create your own characters? In this camp you will draw out your own characters and make them come to life in clay, while incorporating knowledge of handbuilding and throwing on the wheel.

June 16-20, Week One: Living History
June 23-27, Week Two: Kentucky River Voyagers
July 14-18, Week Three: Creative Kentuckians
July 21-25, Week Four: Fun at the Fair

Make, play, and investigate history at our signature week-long program for ages 6-12. Participants explore KHS exhibits, meet special guest speakers, collaborate with new friends, create art inspired by history, and engage in hands-on games and activities. With small class sizes, quality supplies, and top-notch teachers, campers will have a great time learning about Kentucky’s history.
