Capital City Museum: 1/2 Day Camp

July 31

Sign up will begin May 5!

Our half-day camps are back! This summer, we’re heading out into the community to help your child explore all that Frankfort has to offer!

Each day camp will have a different theme.
The full summer schedule is listed below:

June 19 — Fort Hill — Explore the historic forts at Leslie Morris Park before settling in to paint with watercolors made from flower petals!

June 26 — Liberty Hall Historic Site — Take a tour of Liberty Hall’s incredible gardens with the garden curator, then write a letter to your loved ones with quills and ink!

July 3 — Broadway Clay Studio — Get messy and make your own vases! This workshop will serve as an introduction to crafting with clay, and at the end of the day, you’ll have your very own vases! (Creations will need to be glazed and fired by the studio staff. Finished pieces will be ready for pick-up after two weeks)

July 10 — Salato Wildlife Center — More information to come.

July 17 — Kentucky Flower Market — Remember the vases we made at Broadway Clay? Now you can put them to use! We’ll take our completed creations over to the KY Flower Market, where we’ll paint them and fill them with flowers to take home!

July 24 — Cheese Luis — It’s never too early in the day for pizza! Join us for a day of making your own sourdough pizzas under the guidance of our good friend, Cheese Luis!

July 31 — Wicked Whisk Cake Co. — Wrap up the summer with some sweet and spooky treats! We’ll take a cupcake-decorating class at Wicked Whisk and learn how to transform tasty treats into SPOOKY sweets!

Minimum age is 8 years old.

In addition, if your child has any known allergies to stinging bugs or peanuts, we recommend providing an Epipen to staff on the day of event. Staff are trained in administration.

Prices for camp days vary. Yes Card accepted! Sign up and find more information at the below link!
