Find Your Yes Day is an experiential field trip designed to expose youth to positive opportunities available during out-of-school time in Franklin County.
Frankfort, Ky., — The Kentucky Department of Public Health hosted a YES Camp, Monday, Sept. 16, 2024 at the Harold R. Benson Research and Demonstration Farm in Frankfort.
Every 6th grader in Franklin County received a $300 Yes card which they can use to purchase various items that they would normally have to say no to.
Every year, Just Say Yes hosts the ultimate field trip for all sixth grade students. During a jam packed day, students rotate between stations where they have the opportunity to try out activities offered by Yes Card providers as well as free community offerings like Paul Sawyier Public Library and 4-H. In the past, activities have included archery, art, dance, karate, flight simulators, sports, pottery and much more. The goal is to motivate sixth graders to spend their Yes Card- and to have fun!
