What is a Yes Card?
A Yes Card is an electronic gift card that can be used to pay for youth activities from a list of approved providers in Franklin County.
The Yes Card is part a youth wellness and substance use prevention initiative that encourages positive support for young people.
Afterschool programs have a positive impact on students' educational outcomes, school attendance and social and emotional learning.
Regular participation in programs has been linked to lower dropout rates and a narrowing of achievement gaps, particularly among low-income students.
For older youth, afterschool programs can contribute to a reduction in risky behaviors and the development of college and career-readiness skills.
All 6-8th grade youth in Frankfort receive a Yes Card at the beginning of each school year.
Cards are emailed from our platform Yiftee, through the Franklin County Health Department.
Yes Cards can only be used for registered student.
Use Cards for
- Educational Programs + Workshops
- Sports Leagues, Lessons or Camps
- Music Lessons, Instrument Rentals
- Registration fees related to an out-of-school activity. For example: monthly dance memberships, pottery class, school sport fee, canoe rental, art workshops etc.
- Club fees and associated field trips. For example: Beta convention, band field trip.
- Uniforms or equipment IF these are required to participate and purchased through the activity provider

- Non-Required Equipment
- Chromebook Fees
- Uniforms or Equipment that is not bundled with the athletic fee
- Field Trips (unless part of extracurricular activity)
- Tuition
- Lunch Fees
- Merchandise/Retail Items
- Entry into a sporting event
- Gifts Cards + Donations

How do I receive a card?
Cards are issued at the beginning of the school year. Cards are digital. Card access is sent via email from Yiftee and the Franklin County Health Department.
Does my Yes Card expire?
Yes! Your card expires at the end of July each year.
What if I lose my card information?
Check your email trash and spam area for something from Yiftee. Login to your Yiftee Dashboard. If you cannot find your card, email us and we will resend it.

The program draws families to the table along with schools, local businesses, local government, churches and of course youth themselves.
OUR GOAL
Raise $400,000 in new revenue to fully fund the Yes Card for all middle school students in Franklin County for the 2024-25 school year.
